What to do today…..

Today is the day for editing your film.  You need to put together your final product using movie make.  If you scroll down you will find a really helpful tutorial on how to use movie maker as well as some handy hints

Each group needs to submit by Friday 5Th November:

-a completed original movie (at least 3 minutes longs).  This can be saved in the ACE 2010 folder on studentshare

– a poster advertising your film.  This must include a short blurb about your movie.  It can be hand written or created using the computer.

So today some of your group can be working on the editing, and some on the poster.  There is something for everyone to do so nobody should be sitting there doing nothing!!!

Next week there will be time in period 4 to put the finishing touches on your posters

A.C.E. Project

Over the year we have covered a wide range of topics from health and wellbeing to general life skills.  It is important that we all reflect on these new skills and knowledge.  

From your reflections you need to select a topic that you would like to investigate in greater detail.  You will use this topic to complete the following task.

TASK

Create a short informative video on a theme explored in A.C.E this year.  The video must be between 2 and 5 minutes long and contain at least one concept covered in the A.C.E program.  The video needs to demonstrate a skill you have learnt and provide information about a topic that shows your understanding.

You might like to explore:

• The skills needed in Rock Climbing
• The dangers of Binge Drinking
• How to maintain good mental health
• ETC

You will present your video to all Year 10 Students inand the finalists will be shown at an awards night where they will be judged and prizes given.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

1. You must work in a group of between 2 and 6 people.

2. Your video must be between 2 and 5 minutes long (approximately 1 minute per person).

3. Your video is to be aimed at secondary school students.

4. Your video will be judged on creativity, content and appeal to the target audience.

YOU MUST SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO BEFORE THE LAST WEEK OF A.C.E TO QUALIFY FOR AWARDS NIGHT.

Before you even start to film your movie, you need to work out what it is actually going to be about.  Each group will be expected to submit a general idea/or story that they plan on filming.  This will need to be done by the end of your first ACE project session

After deciding on your topic and writing a brief overview script
